AERIAL FILM/PHOTOGRAPHY
JLA's experienced pilots and crew have extensive experience in supporting aerial film and photography work. With our industry partners, we can provide Cineflex, ShotOver, and Tyler stabilized video platforms with endless payload options, or can mount your system using our proven integration experience.
Our fleet is ideally suited to still photography as well, with large picture windows available or the ability to fly with our doors removed for an unparalleled field of view.
UTILITY SUPPORT
Our interagency carded crews and equipment are the ideal solution for supporting operations in remote areas. JL Aviation specializes in moving people and equipment (including Hazardous Materials) in mountain, high altitude, and deep snow areas. We have extensive experience supporting seismic sensor installation/maintenance for the USGS and Plate Boundary Observatory programs on active volcanoes, radio repeater maintenance, and scientific expedition support across the entire continental United States and Alaska.
CHARTER
JL Aviation is an FAA certified Part 135 Air Carrier with a perfect safety record over our entire company history. We can provide private charter for any size group or provide once-in-a-lifetime views of the beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer with custom air tours. Our Bell 206 series helicopters are fast and smooth with excellent visibility, and our Airbus BO105 has the cargo capability to carry full size golf clubs or skis to ensure that any destination is within reach.
AERIAL SURVEY
Helicopters provide the perfect platform for all types of aerial survey, and JLA crews are experts at it. With extensive experience in power line/right-of-way patrol, infrared inspection, LiDAR patrol, and wildlife survey/management, our team can provide efficient data collection specifically suited to your requirements. All of our pilots are Wire-Environment course trained, ACETA/Capture qualified, and highly proficient at low-level operations.
EXTERNAL LOAD
Operating under both FAA Part 133 and 137 certificates, JL Aviation is one of the most experienced external load companies in the region. Our team averages over 1,000 hours of sling load operations annually and can provide precision placement of loads up to 1200lbs. We also offer unrivaled production long-line capabilities, moving equipment or material efficiently and safely. We are among the most experienced and trusted helicopter companies in the harvesting of Christmas trees and fir boughs, with tens of millions of trees moved accident/incident free throughout dozens of successful seasons.
